My name is Eva Becenti; I was born and raised in Europe, and I am the founder and owner of Tampa Bay Nannies. Since 1989, when I established my Tampa nanny agency, I have been committed to providing the best nannies in Tampa for my clients' needs. I am committed to upholding the highest standards in interviewing and screening potential nannies before introducing them to a client.

Children's safety and well-being are always of utmost importance. All nanny candidates are personally interviewed and checked out, and online applications are not accepted. Our Tampa Nannies are at least 21 years old, high school graduates, possess verifiable experience, are CPR and first aid certified, and have a valid Florida driver’s license. It is paramount that they have a clean criminal background, besides being American citizens, or have a work permit.

It is important to me to establish a friendly relationship with all my Tampa nannies. Only then do I feel comfortable enough to place them in a family’s home to take care of precious children.

I use a personal and somewhat old-fashioned approach to assess a family’s needs and concerns. To sign a contract with a client or family, I personally will meet with the parents and children in their normal environment; this helps me get to know them and understand the family’s dynamics. Most families will interview around five nannies “handpicked” for their particular situation and needs. We guarantee all nannies for 90 days and offer free replacements.

If a hired nanny needs a few days off due to illness, a family emergency, etc., another nanny will fill in for her at no additional cost.

Some years ago, my daughter Babette joined forces with me; her intelligence, know-how, and entrepreneurial instinct enabled us to add housekeepers, cooks, and personal assistants to fill any demand a busy family might have. These additional services round out and complement our core Tampa child care service. We both possess a genuine compassion for all people.

I have degrees in Psychology and Sociology from two major European Universities; in addition, I am an alumna of the University of Maryland.

I was interviewed and profiled on “Carrollwood News," NBC, Channel 8, and Discovery Health. I also made headlines and was named “Profile of the Week” in the St. Petersburg Times.

Tampa Bay Nannies serves Tampa and the greater Tampa Bay area, including Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, and Manatee counties.
